Your A-O Division Officers along with our Board Assistant travelled to Little Rock, AR over the weekend to see where our annual meeting will be held. The Hilton Garden Inn is a very nice hotel and the staff is really friendly. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shopping (two important things). It also has a nice pool area and is very clean. It is about 2 or 3 years old and very well kept. The beds are amazing and adjustable for firmness or softness whichever you prefer. You may want to bring your own pillow as the hotels were very flat.

Wondering what my next Microsoft Office webinar is and when it is being held? Well, I've got a great one scheduled for the Northern Virginia Chapter on Tuesday March 13, 2012 and they have graciously opened it up to others. The topic is Microsoft Word Time Saving Tips and it's actually going to focus on some special tricks unique to larger documents. Although it will be shown with Office 2010, many of the functions are available in earlier versions.

Yesterday I attended a really great networking/learning event here in Alexandria as part of the Social Media Week- Washington DC. Social Media Week is a global event with great panel sessions and networking. I love all things related to social media and when I found this event close to work.. I knew I had to jump in and try it.

I hope that you've had the beginnings of a wonderful new year and are honoring any goals or plans that you may have made for yourselves. I haven't been blogging for a while because I've been waiting to see where my IAAP path would lead me. My company has been growing by leaps and bounds, which means that lately I've found it difficult to attend my local chapter meetings, so I began thinking about how I could continue to fulfill my passion for IAAP, have time for networking and attend chapter meetings?
